Bio and Photos

Me and my husband, Scott, at a 70’s party. Yes, Grandma & Grandpa can still boogie down! Not to brag, but I couldn’t ask for a more thoughtful and supportive husband and father. Scott is a surveyor and an adventurer, like myself. He is also a talented photographer, which he put to use on the covers of my novels and utilizes on our travels.

With my youngest son, Christopher, now 22, on a trip to China. Traveling is my second passion after writing. I’ve been fortunate enough to parasail in Mexico, white water raft on a 5-plus rated river in New Zealand, see the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, ride a boat underneath a waterfall in Brazil, pet a koala in Australia and climb the Great Wall in China.

Scott and I with our oldest son, Jonathan, now 27, his wife, Nicole, and our new granddaughter, Eden, at a convention in Long Beach, California. By the way, those are Nicole’s eyes on the cover of my first novel, Just Call Me Goody-Two-Shoes.

I wouldn’t be a proper Grandma if I didn’t include a picture of me and my new granddaughter, Eden Lillee! She is 8 months old in this picture.

I included this picture of me scuba diving in the Cayman Islands because I’m very proud of myself. I had to overcome some fears I didn’t even know I had. Getting certified proved to be a challenge, but overcoming your fears is definitely empowering!

A co-worker and friend, Pat Drake, from The Puyallup Herald bought me this balloon when my first non-fiction book was published in 1998 while we were working as reporters.
